Full Bio
Matt Kaufman is the owner and senior appraiser at Spearhead Valuation Group in Bend, Oregon. He holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation and the Appraisal Review and Management (ARM) designation from the American Society of Appraisers. Kaufman earned a BA from Portland State University and has testified in Oregon regarding personal property tax matters and marital separation. Kaufman serves as Chair of the ASA’s Appraisal Review and Management Committee and has contributed to the MTS Committee’s textbook. His valuation experience spans dozens of industries including mining, manufacturing, transportation, metalworking, paper products, food processing, healthcare, and aircraft operations. Prior to his appraisal career, he worked in finance and manufacturing at American Licorice Company and served as a full-time member of the Oregon Army National Guard.
