Michael G. Lane is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers, specializing in public utility appraisals. Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, he leads the appraisal practice at NewGen Strategies & Solutions. Lane brings over 25 years of industry experience across power generation, electric distribution, water, and gas utilities. His background includes roles in management, operations, finance, and valuation. He previously led the appraisal and valuation practice at SAIC’s energy consultancy for more than 14 years, following earlier experience as a field engineer and boiler inspector at Hartford Steam Boiler Insurance Company and as a submarine nuclear power plant supervisor in the United States Navy. Lane holds an M.B.A. from the Jack Massey Graduate School of Business at Belmont University, a B.B.A.
